My name is Michał and I come from Poland (such a small country between Germany and Russia XD). I quit my office job to look for a new one because it was bad and there was bullying in it. Unfortunately, I developed a slight neurosis from it. I have unfortunately medium social phobias. If you met me, you'd think I was a normal-looking guy but unfortunately, I'm traumatized from my school years. At one time I "locked myself in the basement" as 4chan put it and had no friends. I gained weight and got lipomastia (man boobs) which I managed to get rid of once, but then I gained weight and it came back (it's my strong complex).
It's not that I didn't have contact with women, I used to go to a club in my time and was active in that regard but by my thinking patterns I was an enemy to myself. I have bad thinking habits and worry too much about the opinion of others. Today marks my 14th day of nofap. I'm already feeling the effects of this, I got up this morning pissed off to be in a good mood 30 minutes later. In the evening pissed/melancholy. But I believe I can do it, I'm giving myself a YEAR to heal my mind. Unfortunately, being a virgin at this age breeds new phobias and fears. I even had the idea to lie to the girls I would meet so I wouldn't make a laughing stock of myself, do you think that's a good idea?

Do you have any advice for me for my afflictions?

submitted by Hi all, I can't explain how good it feels to know I've finally got rid of this burden! I'm only 5 days post op but already I can see the dramatic difference. I'm 28 years old and had taken to putting tape over my nipples before leaving the house, I would only ever wear hoodies and basically told my girlfriend that I would never go on holiday until this was sorted.
I developed my gyno at 13 years old, only slightly but it was there, with each year it got more and more puffy. At around 25 years old I started lifting in an attempt at reducing the size of the gyno, sadly though, the bigger my chest got the worse the gyno got. Over the past 6 months I haven't even been back in the gym for fear someone might spot my gyno and think I'm a steroid user who messed up etc. I live in the UK and simply could not afford the surgery, after accidentally stumbling upon a log from another UK chap, I found that lots of people were traveling to Poland to get their surgery, at first I completely wrote off the idea, I thought it was dangerous and possibly a scam to be honest.
Then after it really got my down following photos I saw from a night out, I looked back into it, at £1400 I decided to take the plunge.
I researched it as much as I could, there were around 5 solid reviews and write ups on UK MUSCLE forum going through the whole procedure, each one seemed to follow on from the last as it gave others the courage.
I started to diet down and got myself down to around 15% bodyfat and booked the surgery. Travel wise it was pretty awkward, there were closer flights but these were far from ideal. We elected to fly from Stansted airport, just a 4 hour drive down from Lancashire. We arrived the night before the flight and stayed at a local hotel, cheap and cheerful!
The UK side of things were as expected, once we landed in Poland (Wroclaw) there was a taxi driver waiting for me with my name on a sign. He spoke great English and asked if I was to go to the clinic or apartment first, I had no idea so he phoned the clinic and after a quick chat he told me he would drive me straight to the apartments and pick me up the following morning at 8am for my assessment at the clinic. Easy.
We couldn't book in the actual apartments that were part of the clinic, so instead we stayed at the Royal Apartments, £35 per night self catering. The room was lovely to be fair and had a nice little kitchen. I won't bore you too much with the town and other details, if you want to know any more just ask me :)
Down to the surgery day, we arrived at Noa Clinic which was about 5-10 mins away from our apartment. I was nervous, there were lots of bruised post op women everywhere, and lots more waiting for their assessments. I was sit there and started to feel really out of place, I couldn't help feel it was like a cattle market and the nerves started setting in! I felt cold, then I panicked that they wouldn't be able to see my gyno! Before I could panic any more they called me through.
There were 3 surgeons in the room and another 2 admin staff. I was asked to remove my top, and just like I thought, my chest looked great! My nipples were like bullets with the cold, it was definitely nerves, I was wearing a t shirt and a hoody and it was 26 degrees centigrade outside! I immediately told the lead surgeon Adam that my nipples look great when cold, he told me not to worry as he sees this alot, he did a physical exam and told me he could definitely feel the gyno. He told me Dr Wojciech Berendt would perform my surgery, he is their gyno guy if you will? I was actually under the impression that Adam would be performing my surgery so I questioned this and he explained how Wojciech is far more skilled and does this op far more frequently than himself. Before I knew it I was back in the waiting room after agreeing to the surgery and paying. I had brought my own bloods so saved some extra cost there. I then went through to have a private chat with Wojciech Berendt, this is where I got very excited for the op and all my fears and doubts were lifted. He was so thorough with me, by this time I had calmed some and my gyno had started to get pretty puffy, I showed him some pics of my phone and he said considering the size of the glands he was surprised just how puffy they were. He drew his surgery markings and went through everything, he was with me for about 15 mins and was not in any rush. I asked everything I needed to ask. He left and that was it, next step was surgery! I sat and looked at my chest for a while and kept smiling and thinking "fuck you nipples" haha.
Eventually after a shower and a long wait I was called through for the op, at this point I was so thirsty and hungry as I had been nil by mouth and we were now at 2pm.
Drugs went in, I went out and next thing I woke up in the room completely messed up from the anesthetic. I was wearing the standard compression vest, I had some more drugs going into my arm and for the next several hours I was just falling asleep on and off.
When I could finally think straight I text my gf and told her everything was fine. The nurse came in to change my dressings, I started thinking "shit, what if my nips are just as puffy, what if they didn't really do anything..." the dressings came off, and I looked down, it was amazing, my chest was flat! Completely flat! And I was super warm too, normally I'd be sporting to half golf balls!
She commented on how well it looked, no bruising yet etc, minimal bleeding etc.
I'll cut this down some more and skip to today.
I'm 5 days post op, most of the constant ache has gone, sleeping on your back is an utter nightmare however! I heal like wolverine so it's already looking great, the left hand side is clearly more swollen however and every so often my right hand nipple has a slight puffiness to it but I can clearly see it's fluid. Other than that it's amazing, when I changed my dressings this morning, I put on a light white t shirt just to see, it's so weird, it was just so... normal! I'm going to post some pics, I guess I was lucky and I only had nipple gyno, but they were bad.. at least I think they were. They would poke through all my clothing, and even hoodies, I have developed really poor posture and after going through about 50 rolls of surgical tape to stick them down I am so glad to be here. The surgery went on my credit card so I didn't even have to save up, my mum and dad didn't really know how much I was struggling with this and after I showed them the before pics they told me they were going to pay off my credit card. Got to love parents! I bought the more expensive compression vest for £60, this is easily hidden through clothing etc and fits really well. This will be worn for the next 6 weeks, and I hope to get back to the gym after about 4 weeks or so. Despite the fact my glands are gone, and I can see how flat I am, I just have this little niggle telling me to check my t shirt all the time, telling me that it's too good to be true! I know it's sorted now but after so many years with this crap I can't help it!
