Boomer Stock Recovery Play: Coca-Cola

Boomer Stock Recovery Play: Coca-Cola
TLDR; Coca Cola is still 10% below its pre-covid high. It should go even higher.
For the 8 of you still reading, I present to you a somewhat neglected stock hurt by Covid that hasn't fully recovered, but also one whose February high of $60 is not a ceiling.
Yes, Coca Cola has had a decent run from it's $36 March lows and is even up 12% since October, trading about $54/share as of Friday before pulling back a bit this morning. It's not done yet. Let me provide a few reasons why.
To understand where we're going, let's look at where we've been. Here's a 5 year chart.

5 year performance of KO: courtesy of CNBC
The stock has been of a bit of a snoozer until it began to awake from its slumber about 2018, which accelerated through 2019 and then Wall Street really started to like it in 2020. It had upward momentum, upset by Covid. This momentum will return, very soon.
Catalyst: In Person Dining
Why will momentum return? Most importantly, vaccines will return restaurants back to normal operations by summer 2021. The restaurant industry has been in total carnage. Independent restaurants are closing permanently every day, with large chains taking market share. BUT - those that are still operating are living off of Off-Premise consumption. IF people get drinks to go, they get one. No refills. This has depressed an entire major sector of Coke's sales. As restaurants return to normal, they'll have more customers, and existing customers will be consuming more cokes per sale than they are now. That's a double re-open win.
Catalyst: Cutting overhead like a mo-fo
There's more to this story. Coke has used Covid as an opportunity to cut costs and streamline operations. They've cut employees and overhead expense - more than 1/3 of their North American employees. They've cut a lot of niche product that had overhead burden and marketing/distribution expense but had little revenue, much less profit, like Tab.
They're going to come out of this a leaner, more focused company. They may still have an old and sleepy brand image, but they're also a cash printing machine, and they're going to be printing even more tendies to share with us.
Catalyst: Falling Dollar
But wait! There's more!
Coca Cola generates roughly one third of its revenue from North America. That leaves the balance subject to currency fluctuations. With the dollar tanking, those foreign profits are going to be worth even more.
Not Priced In
Looking at the CNBC.com earnings helps demonstrate that the street has not priced in the recovery, much less the benefits from restructuring and currency. The company itself has not been providing guidance as they have no more visibility than we do how the almost random shutdown/reopen orders will happen. They did, however, warn that Q3 would be hampered by currency exchange rates when the dollar was strengthening, the opposite of what is happening now and projected to continue for a bit. How did Q3 end up when the currency was facing headwinds? They beat the street consensus by 18.8%, and were just one cent per share less than a year ago - when unemployment was at a record low and everything was "normal".

Coke's Earnings Trend - CNBC
Based on the same CNBC data, the street is projecting that one year from now, after restaurants are fully operational, after the company has completed a worldwide restructuring that will eliminate 1/3 of its North American employees, and after the benefit of a presumed lower dollar, the company will just be earning 3 cents more in Q3 and Q4 2021 than it did in 2019, pre-covid. Again, this would say that reopening their fountain sales division to normal levels is only worth 4 cents per share from this past quarter when much of the country remains shut down. That seems low. Too low.
Benchmark: Starbucks
What's the upside here? I'm using Starbucks as the benchmark. They're both beverage companies, though Starbucks is clearly more of a direct restaurant play, and more of a pure play on China's reopening - which is far ahead of the US's and the rest of the world's economy.

Starbucks One Year Performance - CNBC
Starbucks hit a high of about 93 in January, as Covid was already gripping China. It then fell and rebounded to about $90 in February before beginning the March market swoon. On the way back up it kept bouncing into that $90 level (frustrating the hell out of me holding $90 calls) before finally breaking through on the way to all time highs, now at $102, almost 10% above the January highs.
Looking at a similar pattern (though KO held on longer before a much quicker descent) I would expect KO to test $60 soon, and probably bounce off a time or two before breaking through. Again, based on prior momentum I would expect once it clears $60 it should easily run up another 10%. The market will quickly recognize when they reopen they're going to have more operating leverage than when the shutdown began, and they're going to start seeing currency gains as soon as this quarter.
Benchmark: Pepsi
Pepsi is probably viewed as Coke's more direct competitor. Coke had been outperforming them over the last 3 years until the Covid dip. Pepsi, more diversified because of its snack businesses, was the better stay at home play. Coke has a decent catch up trade remaining.
3 year performance Coke vs Pepsi: Barchart.com
Strategy:
Sugar water doesn't get stock analysts excited any more than WSB casino patrons. For that reason, I would not be looking at any FD's. This one needs some longer dated options.
I want to get past the next earnings on 1/28 for evidence of the currency lift to begin to show, but the country will likely still be in winter Covid shutdown mode so I'm not sure we'll get guidance then based on restaurant openings. I'm also feeling like mid-January/February could be a bit rough after a lights-out November and a presumed Santa Claus rally at month's end. Keep some powder dry to buy this on dips. I am.
I'm thinking there's a three-prong approach here.
For the first taste, February 55 calls. Relatively low risk (only slightly OTM), gets us a few weeks past the next earnings date when we should at least see a currency boost, but also captures any run up as the market starts to figure out there's still reopening meat left here to take off the bone.
I'm going to put the heart of the play into June 60 calls. The country should be mostly vaccinated, restaurants should be back to near normal. Hopefully this will be telegraphed by the April earnings call. If this gets priced in sooner...Vega is your friend.
For a stretch, going to throw the balance of the play into leaps for Jan 2022 65's.
I'm starting this position with $5K. Because I expect a decent dip sometime Jan/Feb, will hopefully have some dry powder on the sideline to increase these positions if I've been too early on this move. But as we've seen with many of the reopening plays, when the market decides it's time, I don't want to be late....or any later than I already am.

Employer trying to hold me to a non-compete

Good afternoon everyone,
I will do my best to explain the situation as clearly as possible. I work/worked for a major casino on the Las Vegas strip. Specifically in the nightlife department. As we all know, Covid hit earlier this year and caused massive shut downs. Las Vegas was hit especially hard.
Our department was told to go home and we would not be working until further notice. Our salary & benefits would be paid until the end of July. After July we would be furloughed.
Every employee in the department was put under a “blanket 6 month non compete” upon being hired.
Well July came and passed, and our last contact with our directors was end of July to the extent they told us we are furloughed and if we want insurance to get cobra, and if we want income get unemployment. To the date I’m writing this, we have still not heard back from our directors. We are still listed as furloughed employees. The directors of the company have not said a word to any employees about bringing anyone back to work, despite the nightlife venues being reopened. The employees the directors brought back had no rhyme or reason. They were not brought back in order of seniority, the only reason that can be surmised is they are personal friends with the executives of our department.
Now to the meat of the post, (sorry for dragging on) a new resort is opening and hiring. Many of my fellow employees, myself included. Have applied at this new resort. Less than a week after my first interview, I was hit with a letter from my prior job saying I was to abide by a 6 month non compete because I am still technically employed.
I have not received compensation, or benefits, from my prior employer since July. Yet I’m still listed as an employee and until I elect to quit, or get fired, my non compete doesn’t start until that date.
How should this be handled? It’s completely unfair that this company is trying to block someone who’s been out of work for 6 months already, from getting a job. Especially after they cherry picked who to bring back once the venues reopened.

$AESE - Parabolas Are Hot

This is an interesting one...

- Allied Esports owns the WPT (World Poker Tour)
- On Aug 4th, teamed up with Riot Games (League of Legends and Valorant) to be one of the main hosts of the first international Valorant tournaments, which included the biggest teams in esports. (Team Liquid fan here.)
- Partnered last month with Esports Entertainment Group to prepare to host the upcoming CS:GO Legends tournament this August 31 in Europe.
- Absolutely beaten down like a rabid dog by COVID as they were left with no way to operate their flagship arenas. Earnings were a painful sight. However, the company is now making big changes to their business model to reverse the damage, as they are lucky to be in one of the few industries that can thrive just as well online as in person. They’re now going to be hitting the front-end of online tournaments too, which is where the majority of the money is. (About time you idiots.)
- Chief Financial Officer stated that despite COVID forcing them to close their arenas, they are now starting to trend back upwards. This is because they recently announced that they are going to be reopening their flagship arena in Las Vegas for bookings and events (which originally accounted for 78% of their revenue). They will also be growing their online revenue stream at the same time. That’s two potential sources of income now instead of what was zero.
- They originally merged with Black Ridge Oil to IPO as $AESE, and over the last two days there have been some interesting insider activity. Now let me break it down:
  1. Blackridge, like all oil companies, has been getting shafted by the pandemic. So in order to cover some of their payroll taxes, they sold back some shares of AESE to Allied Esports at a cost of $2.01. (higher than current price)
  2. Between Blackridge and $AESE, various directors obtained RSU's that lapse this September and some in 2021.Mainly what happened here is just both companies calling an audible. It's not the same as an executive just purchasing shares and that's it. However, there's a lot of activity going on to fix the problems caused by COVID-19 and put AESE in the right direction. I like to see that as a shareholder.
----------------------------------------------------
Zoom out to the 1 week/ 1 month chart. I believe we are at the bottom of the parabola. RSI is oversold at (35). Short interest is $2.3%.
One thing has become certain: While concerts will never feel the same online, Streamed Poker, League, Valorant, and CS:GO are designed to thrive in this environment. That's how most of us have watched video games our entire lives. I expect a correction in the stock price for the short term, and an overall gradual rebound as the company logs more official tournaments and a revived revenue stream from their re-opened arenas. I buy at discounts because I'm a cheap bastard.

DEAR MAYOR OF VEGAS, YOU SAY THAT PEOPLE WHO WORK IN THE SERVICE INDUSTRY STAY HOME WHEN THEY ARE SICK. YOU NEED TO KNOW THAT THIS ISN'T TRUE.

You literally think that people stay home when they first start showing symptoms? Yeah, obviously we should be staying home. But we are dealing with:
- A boss who will fire us for not getting our shift covered.
- Coworkers who won't cover our shifts because they're too busy not wanting to work.
- Bills to pay for, and with no unemployment benefits, no other way to make money.
- or,
WE JUST DON'T KNOW THAT WE ARE SICK YET BECAUSE WE ARE ASYMPTOMATIC WHEN WE FIRST GET THE COLD/FLU/ AND APPARENTLY NOW COVID19.

So you want to reopen casinos and hotels and the service industry in all of Vegas, and it's up to the Casino owners to decide on how to socially distance?
YOU NEED TO LEAVE IT UP TO THE PEOPLE ACTUALLY ON THE FLOOR, THE PEOPLE WHO WILL BE ON THE FRONT LINE IN THIS PANDEMIC.

Like how can she be so STUPID?
I understand that people want to work, but the freaking ignorance in thinking that Casino owners are going to consider the lives of their 1000s of employees when they want to save their 10000000s of dollars is laughable. We are like tiny little ants to them. They don't care about our existence. They don't care if a few of us die, or a bunch of us die. If they think they're "doing their job by following the guidelines", they're going to keep living happily. And we know this, which is why we just deal with the shitty situations and end up COMING IN SICK TO WORK.
Like how do we get idiots in office to know this? I wish is was a requirement that everyone running for an office position had to have worked in the service industry for at least 3 years. lol. Maybe that'd really help us with the lack of empathy thing that our government leaders exhibit so much.
Gah it's just so fucking annoying. What an idiot. I'm done lol.

Las Vegas reopening, let's have a discussion, I know it's hard.

First off, my prayers go out to all of us affected directly and indirectly by COVID-19.
Las Vegas is a service industry and tourism town. With the shut down closing non-essential businesses, Las Vegas is one that is severely hit since our lifeblood depends on tourism and casinos. Our mayor is pushing on the governor hard to reopen the state. I'm not here to criticize or politicize anyone's remarks, since everyone is making decisions on what information they have, whether you believe that or not.
So let's say that it lifts May 1st, but what does that look like. I know that it is most likely going to be a roll out but if Casinos open, who will fill them? We rely on the rest of the nation, even the world, to travel here and spend their money, but at the moment the rest of the world is still recovering and has a lot on their plate. Even if the casinos offer bare minimum rates, who is flying here? Locals can only sustain so much of that business. Even if we do see a surge in business, can we trust that there is proper social distancing happening on the casino floor. Outside the strip, there may be a surge in business for local businesses.
With such a rush on getting the economy open here the same question applies to the rest of the nation. Do we have a realistic testing and identification plan in place?
Sorry for the doom and gloom, but I can only hope, along with everyone else, that we can get through all this.

What is the Vegas strip like currently?

Vegas fan here, I had a flight/hotel booked for LIB fest in September that I cancelled last month. It was going to be our first time doing Zion as well. I'm just wondering what the current state of things are in Vegas. Is Goodall still describing the city as a control group? Are hotels crowded or quiet? What about the pools? How is getting on the elevators to go to the rooms? Are the walkways outside of the casinos shoulder to shoulder with people like they normally are? Are all of the casinos open? I know bars are closed and such and that the city was crazy after the initial reopening. Just curious what the state of things are as the Vegas subs are my only insight into what's happening there now.
How are you guys doing personally? This will be the first year in twelve years that I haven't been to Vegas. Sending some love from California and I can't wait to visit your city when it's safe to do so.

My roommates girlfriend is accusing me of stealing $5000

I live in a two bedroom apartment, in march of this year I broke up with my girlfriend and I needed to find a roommate. The first thing I did was put the feelers out with some of my neighbors. One of my neighbors had a friend that had just moved to San Diego and was staying on his couch while looking for permanent residence. I didn’t know my neighbor super well but he had a big fat bulldog named Porkroll so that was enough to earn my trust.
“Guy” moved in. He was a chef by trade and for the first few weeks I never saw him, his 14 to 15 hour shifts at the restaurant made his life sleep work sleep work repeat. He paid his rent and utilities quickly and was almost never home, and when he was he brought me food.
The perfect roommate. Then Covid happened.
He was laid off from the restaurant. I received a text asking me if his girlfriend from Chicago could move in with us, he said that she was cool and they would use the free time to find a place of their own. Both turned out to be false.
Over the months of the quarantine they would fight to no end, it seemed like almost every night. Screaming matches that would go into the early hours of the morning. A few of them got to the point where other neighbors had called the police for a domestic disturbance.
At this point it would be hard to describe how much I dislike “Girl” but one of my first interactions with her describes it best.
Guy made ramen, he spent all day making a broth, even made some pot stickers, and I thought it was great. She hated it, apparently it was so bad she couldn’t get through Jumanji 2 and had to leave to get other food. It appalled her so much he was no longer allowed to cook their meals. A chef.
Also one of their fights got to the point that he was speeding off in his car and she threw one of my glasses at him, shattering it. It was a pint glass that had a e-card meme on it that said “looks like it’s fuck this shit o’clock” with a guy throwing papers in the air. In the grand scheme of things it's not that important but it was a christmas gift from my sister in 2011 and I considered it a prized possession.
The way the apartment is setup I have a bedroom with a walk-in closet and a bathroom, which allowed me to interact with them as little as possible. For the most part that ment I only needed to interact with them when necessary. Necessary being when a homeless guy was standing around our stairwell and Girl took an unloaded paintball gun to scare him off with mock gunfire. So most nights they use my TV that is in the living room, watching youtube videos on my account. This doesn’t bother me but it does let me see their entire watch history.
The only thing they watch is about gambeling. I mean I can’t judge. I'll watch hours of people doing metal work, using lathes and welding when I have no way to do it myself. But the thing they watch the most is slots, people live streaming themselves at casinos playing high roller slot machines and winning large sums of money.
About a month ago it was night and they had been gone all day. There is a knock on the door at 4 am, it's Girl. She said they were at one of the Indian gaming casinos and she doesn’t know where Guy is. He showed up late the next day, and was an absolute wreck.
Two weeks ago they let me know they were going to Vegas now that things are starting to reopen. They were gone for a week, which I can only describe as pure bliss, and came back without issue.
Saturday 6/20 I carpool with my parents up to North County San Diego to spend the weekend at my brothers, my first time seeing my family and not sleeping in my room in four months, a true vacation. My sister-in-law is pregnant so for health and safety reasons she asked if I could get a hotel room. Yes ma’am, vacation.
Sunday 6/21 at 9am I get a text from Guy.
“Theres been a large sum of money stollen from myself and Girl as of last night
I'm contacting the police to file a police report.
Can you please give me the landlords number to go through the proper channels, locks need to be changed and all the proper details need to be followed to get to the bottom of what has happened.
Girl and myself will seek additional help to recover all losses
It’s unfortunate this is happening on father’s day.
But it needs to be addressed,
Immediately.
Guy”
I'm a musician and a nerd, so my first thought was about my gear in my bedroom and my computers. I asked if he could go into my room to see if anything was taken but he doesn’t respond.
My father had passed the Bar in New Orleans in the 80’s but now does commercial marine insurance. He let me take his car to go back down to see what was going on. Because Guy wasn’t responding, I called the Neighbor with the bull dog, he agreed to go in my room and confirmed that my music gear and tech were there as I described it.
I arrive, Girl is in their bedroom with the door closed, Guy is sitting at a table in our common area on the computer. looking back, this is when I realize that I might be a little naive. Because I’ve lived my life outside the long arm of the law (aside from traffic and parking tickets) It did not occur to me that they would be accusing me of stealing the money, but from his tone I could tell something was weird. In the common area they had two sets of golf clubs, he said she had her purse in her golf bag and it had $5000 cash inside and that it was stolen. I asked if they had taken the golf clubs out while it was in there and he said yes but it was always close to them so it was in eyesight the whole time.
My first thought was leave the situation and call your dad for advice.
As I have never been in a situation like this I honestly didn’t know what to do. What he told me was:
Directly ask him if I am being accused of stealing the money, and if he says yes say I didn’t do it. After that don’t say anything without legal counsel present. I did that.
Girl bursts out the door enraged and screaming. I said one thing “ I am not going to talk about this without legal counsel present” she said many, many things, here are the highlights.
“I know you did it you fucking crack head whitetrash peice of shit. I know people, we're getting your fingerprints and you are going down. Make it easy on yourself just give us back the money.
Just give us back the money and everything will be ok for you.
Just give us back the money
Just give us back the money
Just give us back the money”
It was like that but many more times and a lot louder and meaner.
I left the apartment and went across the street to call non-emergency, I told them I didn’t feel safe, described Guy and Girl, and they showed up 4 hours later.
The officers had already talked to Guy and Girl when they talked to me. They asked me If I took the money and I said no. They said it would be a lot easier if I just gave the money back. I said I didn’t take the money. They said you know they will be pressing charges. I said yes. I asked if I was free to go and they said yes. I put all my computers, and musical instruments in the car and drove back up to my brothers. While driving my sisters, who are enraged, look up Guy and Girl and find that Girl has from what we can tell at least 4 arrests in Chicago, the one we could see was for assault and battery.
Spent the rest of fathers day with my family, we had Whiteclaw, and tacos.
I am now back at the hotel, at around 11pm, Girl sends me a text. Apparently Guy gave her my number, she didn’t have it before.
“MY MONEY BETTER BE ON THIS TABLE BY MORNING. PERIOD!!!! YOU UNDERSTAND ME?!”
From my Dad's advice I probably shouldn't have said anything, but I did.
“I really don’t understand why you guys are doing this. I know you haven't known me that long but I can’t believe you actually think I stole money from you. And more importantly, and this should be obvious:
If this goes to court it will be a monumental waste of time and money for both of us.
First off, I didn’t steal the money, so if you launch some sort of investigation nothing will be found.
From a quick internet search Girl has a multiple arrest record from Chicago.
Two weeks ago you both spent a week in Vegas where you would have clearly had time to spend the money.
Because it’s my youtube account on the TV there is a clear history of you guys watching videos that revolve around slots and gambling.
Absolutely nothing about your accusations makes any sense.
But the most important thing is, and I genuinely suggest you take this in full consideration:
Through my family I have access to legal counsel, that if this does go to court, will turn it into a complete fucking bloodbath.
Please, I beg you, save both of us the wasted time and money and just walk away.”
She responded:
“ON THE TABLE IN THE MORNING”
“You’re a white trash crackhead thief. ON THE TABLE BY MORNING 9AM SHARP”
“MY FAMILY WILL BE HERE TO HANDLE THIS WITH ME”
“9AM IN FULL”
Yeah so now it's 2 am and i'm in a hotel room in northern San Diego.
All in all, not the worst fathers day I've had but close.
While my father did practice Law in the 80’s and so far all of his advice has seemed correct. I figured it might be beneficial to ask some questions.
Is a restraining order necessary? I’m sure I can look up how to get one but do I need to?
Can I kick them out? My landlord told me we can give them a 30 notice to leave but I’m not sure if the covid thing affects that.
And honestly I would never do this because I don’t have an aggressive bone in my body but what legal action could I take towards them if any?
Alright, the adrenaline is wearing off, thanks for listening.

100s Line up as Some Oklahoma Casinos Reopen. Everi (Evri) indicators have now become interesting for casino/gambling stock projections

After doing some research this morning, I found the following article from a few days ago. https://www.usnews.com/news/best-states/oklahoma/articles/2020-05-12/100s-line-up-as-some-oklahoma-casinos-reopen-despite-virus
Basicly, Oklahoma seems to be one of the first places casinos are opening back up and lucky for us there is a company called Everi that has around 50% of its business tied up in machines inside those casinos. If you are playing gambling stocks, this company could be on the leading edge of indications of how that will go when the bigger names/places come back online.
According to the 10-k Everi is based in Vegas, and is involved in everything from slot/video gaming cabinet development, construction, sales and leasing to ATM machine services. They also seem to supply a lot of solutions to the casinos themselves for back of house and promotional management.
Keep in mind this is not exactly a 5 star indicator, but it is one of the first real time indicators. It is especially interesting because of how diversified the company is in the various parts of a working casino that they are involved with.

Nevada Governor Targets June 4 Date for Reopening Casinos

Does this continue the upward trend for resorts and casinos such as ERI, PENN, and WYNN, and help MGM? Or do increased operation costs and lower capacity hurt them in the long run?
“Casino operators and employees in the largest U.S. gambling market got some welcome news at the start of the Memorial Day weekend: a June 4 target date for reopening.
Nevada Governor Steve Sisolak, a first-term Democrat, announced the reopening date Friday. Resorts in Las Vegas have been shuttered since March due to the coronavirus, resulting in a surge in unemployment and a collapse of tax revenue. Sisolak has been under pressure for weeks to reopen one of the state’s most-important industries.
He joins politicians in other states who are getting comfortable with the return of large entertainment venues. Casinos in Louisiana and Mississippi opened in the past week. And California Governor Gavin Newsom said Friday his state’s casinos, most of them run by Native American tribes, could open June 8. “We’re putting out guidelines not just for casinos, but card rooms as well,” he said.

EVRI Earnings Play

Good Afternoon Retards and Faggots alike.
This is my second earnings play (1st was JD.com, which went well, but first is always free.)
EVRI Reports earnings June 2nd AMC (After Market Close), with an expected EPS of (.03) and Revenue 140.08M.
Everi develops, sells, and leases games and gaming machines, gaming systems and services
Everi Holdings reports its results of operations within two operating segments: Games and FinTech.
Everi Games provides gaming operators with gaming technology products and services, including: (a) gaming machines, primarily comprising Class II and Class III slot machines, including TournEvent® machines, placed under participation or fixed-fee lease arrangements or sold to casino customers; (b) TournEvent® system software, licenses, and ancillary equipment;(c) providing and maintaining the central determinant systems for the video lottery terminals (“VLTs”) installed in the State of New York and similar technology in certain tribal jurisdictions; (d) business-to-consumer (“B2C”) and business-to-business (“B2B”) interactive gaming activities; and (e) managing our TournEvent of Champions® national slot tournament.
Everi FinTech provides gaming operators with financial technology products and services, including: (a) services and equipment that facilitate casino patron’s self-service access to cash at gaming facilities via Automated Teller Machine (“ATM”) cash withdrawals, credit card cash access transactions and point-of-sale (“POS”) debit card purchase and cash access transactions; (b) check warranty services; (c) self-service player loyalty enrollment and marketing equipment, including tools and promotion management software; (d) software and services that improve credit decision making, automate cashier operations, and enhance patron marketing activities for gaming establishments; (e) equipment that provides cash access and other cash handling efficiency-related services; and (f) compliance, audit, and data solutions.
Essentially, Games handles the actual machines, while their FinTech deals mostly with cash related transactions. "ATM cash withdrawal transactions represent the largest category of electronic payment transactions that we process, as measured by dollars processed and transaction volume."
Now some numbers:
2018 vs 2017 Revenue: 469M vs 410M (Growth of 14%)
2018 vs 2017 Expenses: 383M vs 328M (Increase of 20%)
2019 vs 2018 Revenue 533M vs 469M (Growth of 14%)
2019 vs 2018 Expenses 439M vs 383M (Increase of 14%)
So Revenue has gone up by 14% each of the last 2 years, while expenses has dropped from 20% to 14% - Good sign.
Their Net Cash Available has actually doubled from 81M to 160M from 2018 to 2019.
As we all know, Casinos have been closed with COVID, however you are starting to see them opening up in Oklahoma (one of their largest operating grounds), and Vegas, while not confirmed, have started seeing Casinos take reservations for arrival end of May and Beginning of June.
This boasts well for their earnings call on June 2nd. We also know numbers don't mean everything in this market. The outlook is the most important. While I cant foreshadow how their earnings will look, their outlook going forward should be good. Gambling addicts dont quit gambling. We will see people running to Casinos again, and this is good news for Evri with their equipment and ATM transaction fees.
The stock has already climbed to $5.57 as of writing this, a 33% increase in the last week, but this could easily climb back to pre covid levels of above $10 by EOY.
Options are really cheap too, with a 6/19 7.5C sitting at $.33 at market close today. IV is high at 139%, so beware there, but this can still climb.
TL;DR: EVRI has a good chance to climb post earnings given the outlook they can submit with casinos reopening. Earnings could look bad, but outlook > numbers right now
Positions: 100 Shares at 4.30 Cost Basis 6/19 7.5C
Edit: Not related, but I will be researching CHWY as well in the coming days and posting that as they report earnings the following week (I am bullish on them)

Gov. Sisolak cancels in-person press conference, will update Nevadans via recorded video

Oh come on now!! Nevada Gov. Steve Sisolak canceled his in-person press conference scheduled for 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday after possible exposure to COVID-19, he announced on Twitter.
Gov. Sisolak said he plans to update Nevadans on Tuesday night via a recorded video.
"Late last week, I visited a work place where an employee, who was not in the building at time, has since reported testing positive for COVID19. My Office learned of the positive test result on Tuesday," Sisolak said on Twitter.
The time of the video's release is not yet known.
ORIGINAL REPORT: LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -- Governor Sisolak on Friday announced he will hold a news conference next Tuesday, May 26 to discuss Phase 2 of Nevada's "Roadmap to Recovery."
The Phase 2 announcement will take place in Carson City from the Nevada State Legislature building. Governor Sisolak is expected to make his remarks around 5:30 p.m. on May 26. Tuesday's press conference will be live streamed at leg.state.nv.us.
Saturday marks two weeks since Phase 1 began. Since that time, according to Gov. Sisolak, the LEAP and the governor's office have been monitoring the first phase of reopening, analyzing data trends and evaluating potential plans for Phase 2.
If Nevada's COVID-19 data continues to reflect positive or consistent trends through the Memorial Day weekend, Gov. Sisolak said he will announce a Phase 2 reopening date during Tuesday's news conference, along with business reopening and statewide continuing operation guidelines.
Sisolak In addition, Gov. Sisolak notes that the Nevada Gaming Control Board will be holding an informal workshop Tuesday where state and local health and safety officers will provide an update regarding COVID-19 response measures at resort hotels. After presentations, Sisolak says the board will consider any action necessary with regard to reopening plans. Gaming properties are required to submit reopening plans to the Board for approval seven days before reopening, Sisolak noted.
Pending the evaluation of trends in Nevada's COVID-19 data along with the results of the Gaming Control Board meeting Tuesday, the governor has set a target date of June 4 for reopening Nevada's gaming industry.

Wynn should fail on earnings

Wynn will report earnings on May 7th.
Wynn makes most of its money in Macau. Of 6.6 B revenue last year, 4.6 B was made in Macau, 1.6 B in Vegas and a few bucks in Boston.
February 5th casinos closed in Macau for 2 weeks. After reopening, things didn't seem to look good.
"Experts say Macau has gone from 120,000 visitors a day to about 600, likely because of strict quarantine rules" -some random article I found.
That means that the'yll get under 50% of regular revenue from Macau. Last year they got 1.65 B in the first quarter, around 1.2 B from Macau. If this is halfed and a little bit deducted from US revenue they are under 1 B in revenue. This site says estimates are 1.25 B https://www.earningswhispers.com/stocks/wynn.

TLDR: I guess they'll miss bigly on Q1. Wynn 5/15 80P

Bill Coulthard, an attorney and former state legislator, was killed by a car bombing in downtown Las Vegas in 1972. A key suspect was a casino magnate, though no arrests were ever made in the case.

Bill Coulthard was a respected attorney in Las Vegas. He had served as the first resident FBI agent to Las Vegas in the 1940's, then as president of the Nevada State Bar and as a legislator in the Nevada Assembly. Further, through marriage he had obtained an interest in several real estate holdings across the city.
On July 25, 1972, Coulthard got into his Cadillac on the third-floor parking garage of the Bank of Nevada Building in downtown Las Vegas. When he turned his key in the ignition, a powerful bomb attached to the vehicle detonated, killing Coulthard instantly.
A key suspect in the bombing was Benny Binion, the owner of the Horseshoe Casino in downtown Vegas. Binion had developed a reputation as a ruthless gangster when he ran the gambling rackets in Dallas before heading west to Nevada. The alleged motive was Coulthard's refusal to renew the lease for the land on which the Horseshoe Casino was situated. After the bombing, the new owners of Coulthard's shares agreed to renew Binion's lease for another 100 years.
Las Vegas police suspected a father-son hitman team associated with Binion had been the ones to plant the bomb at Binion's direction. And while associates of the hitmen later reported they had confessed to the attack, no arrests were ever made for the Coulthard murder.

Las Vegas Casinos On The Verge Of Re-Closing After Barely A Month

This is the best tl;dr I could make, original reduced by 85%. (I'm a bot)
Properties across the country shut down - some voluntarily, most by order of their state governments - in the second half of March and have reopened region by region in May, June, and early July, with 831 of 989 casinos welcoming customers at latest check.
After a 78-day shutdown, the Vegas casinos reopened at 12:01 a.m. on June 4 with no restrictions on where customers could travel to Nevada from.
On June 24, after the casinos had been open almost three weeks, Gov. Sisolak finally mandated the wearing of masks in casinos, with the order going into effect on June 26.
The first were in Arizona, where Gila River Hotels and Casinos closed three properties after a security guard died of COVID, and Desert Diamond Casinos also closed one site.
As veteran Vegas insider Anthony Curtis observed in his Las Vegas Advisor newsletter, "Some casinos check temperatures at the door; others don't. At those that do, the techniques vary. I've been checked in five different ways."
It's not ideal for business in the short term, but it's been effective for preventing viral spread. Atlantic City, where eight of nine casinos reopened over the long holiday weekend, has the benefit of being part of a multi-state pact to institute 14-day quarantines for visitors from a number of states where the outbreak is growing most rapidly.

A Place I call MISIMS (My Impossible Simulation) / My Heaven??

Note: This post wont be for everyone since it really long. I just wanted to post and share for those who might be interested in a place I frequently visit when I go to sleep. For those that do read the entire post, I appreciate it. And for those that dont, I totally understand. Im not one to read very long post but I do come across a few that make me glad that I did take the time to read it all. I'm hoping that this is one of those posts. Anyways, thanks in advance!

MISIMS, a place that I find myself visiting very frequently. This is an attempt to describe this place as this place has grown in size and details since the beginning.
I don't think that I've ever had dreams where I find myself frequently visiting the same places and seeing the same structures. So this got me thinking, did I build this place or did someone build it for me? Ill will talk about different areas and stuff, just keep in mind that this is a collection of all the times that I have been in this place. I didn't see all of it in one shot. This is a combinations of over a years worth of dreaming about this place. Ill try and add as much details as possible but its almost impossible to write down everything I saw, did or felt while I'm there.
In the beginning, this place was very dark. The sun never rose or set when I first appeared there. The sky was filled with a with a dark bluish and sometimes black hue in the sky. The temperature was always perfect, never too cold or too hot but the surrounding environment was weird.
As I try to think back at the first moment I ended up here, the main thing that stick out is the huge hotel/casino that sat on a hill. It is un-like any other hotel/casino that I have ever seen. Ill do my best to explain. Lets start with the parking garage as its the most simplest to explain in this whole place. The parking garage itself is a massive structure. One can get easily lost in here and the doors that lead to inside the main building are a "walk right through" sort of set up. In fact, just thinking about getting from the parking garage to the main building is so confusing that i wont try and explain it at the moment.
The best way to get a sense of this place (for those of you that have been to a casino) is, you know how when you're walking through the parking garage and the ceiling to the floor above you is pretty close. Some times its close enough that someone with a good vertical jump could easily touch the tips of their fingers and other times its a slight bit taller then that. Well this parking garage was like having double the space of any parking garage that you ever been into. It almost didn't make any sense as to why it was this high up. To add to that, there were many many floors to the garage put the parking spots all looked normal size.
Now the parking garage looks attached to the main building so I'm sort of lost as to why its so confusing to get into the main building. The last time I tried, I found myself taking a lot of lefts and rights down this enclosed hallway. I could tell which way I was facing after a while.
At some point in (in another dream) I was standing in the main hotel casino area. Here is where its going to get challenging. Just keep in mind about the size of the garage cause this place is the exact same way. They have just about everything in here. A lot of casino games for kids, a movie theater, a pool, an area for shows, bowling, you name it and its there except not everything is easily accessible. For example, in a real life hotel, there are always signs letting you know which way to go for what ever it is you're looking for. Its the same in MISIMS except you have a bunch or signs leading you to different direction. If in real life a casino has 6 or 7 listing of things to do in a certain direction then MISIMS has about 20-30.
At one point I found myself floating through this place. Although I only scratched the surface of this place, I was able to also test a few of my abilities within the hotel/casino grounds. One of them being x-ray vision. There were a lot of people walking through the casino this one particular night and the walk ways where really crowded. I wanted to know what was behind every door and I even opened up a few to take a look inside. One of the doors lead to a movie theater but I didn't stay long but it was packed. At one point i went to reach and open a door when i found myself looking through it and seeing what was on the other side. I believe this is where my lucidity became more prominent and I began to become curious about a few things. I continued testing the x-ray vision on all the walls I walked passed. I noticed that I was seeing a lot more rooms and places to go but no doors to get to all of them. (That's if I remember that correctly.)
After seeing a few different rooms, I wanted to test some of the other abilities that I used in previous dreams. Shortly after deciding this, I found myself in a gun range looking down the barrel of a few people holding rifles. You guessed it! They fired them. I performed the same move Neo did in the matrix. I stuck my hand in front of me and all of the projectiles came to a halt and fell. I was starting to get the hang of things at this point.
On another trip here, I found myself in a bad mood for what ever reason and this time I was in the front of the hotel. Best way to describe this areas is to think of a house where you can drive up to the front door and when you look into the front yard, its a huge pool area with just about everything you can think of. Bars, pool side bars, chairs, cabanas all very nice. Now amplify that cause this is no house. lol Its like having a pool party in the front of the hotel rather then the side or back of it. So I remember walking to the main area where people where congregating and drinking at. I remember turning to everyone there and telling them that it was time to go home. I was kicking people out. I saw some people simply vanished while others looked at me with this look of, "ummm who are you!?" Also keep in mind that its completely dark out. There was no sun still at this point and I wonder if that could have been a reason why I had flipped out.
*Prior to this dream, I kept asking myself why was this place always night time? It never really had a negative vibe or anything but I believe at one point I started to view this place as simply a dark place to be. I didn't understand that completely until the next time I would come here. But before I get to that, I want to explain briefly what I saw that made up the rest of this place.
On one of my ventures into the parking garage, I had walked from outside, in front of the hotel to around the corner to the parking garage. This was the time that I got lost in this place and started taking mental notes of what I was seeing. While on my way to the garage, I had looked around this place. Not the hotel itself but the rest of the "city" I guess you can call it. It was an utter mess. The best way I can describe it is like grabbing a huge piece of land and everything that's build on it and moving it to another location where there are several more huge pieces of land that where pressed together crudely to make one giant land scape. What I did notice after some time was that everything seemed to even itself out more and more with every visit. At one point, I couldn't tell the difference from one piece to another however, every section still maintains its own sort of vibe. Example: If the hotel/casino building is a Vegas theme, it still carries that feeling to it. Same with the other areas but I have a feeling that sooner or later these feeling are going to fade and its going to feel like its own place. Hence why I have called this place MISIMS (MY Impossible Simulation).
Side note: I wonder if we all have a place like this?
It was a new day in MISIMS and the first thing that stuck out to me was...... THE SUN! Wow it was so good to feel that bright light just basking on my skin with perfect weather outside. It certainly was a sight to see after spending all that time in the dark night sky. Having the sun out brought on new experiences and I wondered if I would ever see this place dark again. But I didn't think about that for too long as I was very happy it was bright out side.
From here I started to venture to other parts of this place. Some close and some far. Some areas even lead to other location that I have not been able to confirmed if its all apart of the same or if its more like a portal to a different place.
I guess I should explain some of the different places I'll be going over and talking about. So we have the casino area which reminds me of Vegas. There was a place that reminded me of New York (although this place has changed as well since the beginning.) There's also a suburban area, very nice and quiet. The houses have back yards and stuff. There is also this one place that reminds me of a some what low income projects kinda of housing. This place is after you go through that portal thing I was talking about earlier which is behind this walking path behind a school. At least I believe that its a school. I have never actually went inside this place.
I think it might also help to kinda give a general location to these places to help layout the landscape somewhat.
The casino would be located North of the city. If you travel all the way south, you reach the suburban community and in between the casino and this community would be the center of this place. When ever I find myself in need or want of a vehicle, I can usually find one of mine some where in here. (3 cars and 3-5 motorcycles. 3 are running and 2 are not for the time, red and blue crotch rockets.)
If you head east from the center of the city and head a little south, you come up to this pretty big building that I've come to call a school. Again, Idk if it is indeed a school. All I know if that behind this place there is a walking path that takes you through a little desert scenery, small shrubs and stuff but if you continue walking through here, you end up coming across a road that either goes left or right. So it literally looks like a small beaten pathway off the side of a road that leads to some where else. The vibe that I get is a Colorado vibe except it doesn't look like it. There are a lot of trees after you get to a certain point and overall greenery.
I believe if I turn left, then I end up in that low income housing place. I feel calling it that sort of leaves a negative connotation to this area which isn't the case. The building that i find myself in is a little beaten down and slightly crowded but I never seem to look at this place as something beneath me. I actually like this place and the people that i visit here from time to time. I haven't ventured too much on this side though. I usually find myself just relaxing in a small room with like 1-3 other people. It gets pretty cramped in there but we some how always find a way to manage with what we have.
Now if i head right on that road that I'm lead to the Colorado vibe area. I have been to this side a little more I think. At least I remember a little more from this side then the other side. Sometimes weird shit happens here though. In one occasion, we found a house that looked like someone had left behind and it was in a slight rough condition. The trees and shrubs had over taken the house a bit and there where some areas that needed minor work to become livable. Now I don't think actually moving in this place was the idea for anyone I was with but I could be wrong.
I remember weird or odd characters popping up out of nowhere towards the back yard area so I'm not exactly sure what the whole deal was with that. The feeling I get sometimes feels like people just watching us. Never really there to do anything but I guess that's what makes it all feel weird. I suppose the only other thing to say about this area is the change in feeling that i get when i come to the end of that walk path and end up at the crossroads. I cant explain it but it feels different. Sort of like this, imagine you're walking down the pathway and once you cross a certain point, the next time you blink your eyes and reopen them like normal, you're there. It's like there is a gap or transitional phase that happens or like a quick 1 sec white loading screen behind your eye lids or something. It happens effortlessly so its nothing that I feel myself having to focus on or anything. This is why I believe it to be a portal of some kind although I could always be wrong on that.
This part is going to be on the Suburban area. There might not be much here to really explain as everything that I saw here was more of a design change from anything I've seen in my waking life. For example, the way that some of the streets twist around or lead to other parts of other neighbor hoods is vastly different. But there are one or 2 homes in this area that I found myself either living at or visiting. The first was this beautiful 2 story home. All I remember seeing was a lot of white everywhere and a woman who lived there. I don't know who she is to me but the vibe was nice. It could have been a significant other or just simply a close friend. And not to far from this place is a bigger more luxurious home. It was like a small mansion but very nicely done and I think someone lived in it when I went walking in there which was a weird experience. Imagine someone walking into your home out of nowhere and instead of flipping out and asking questions, they're like "hey!! come on in". Super sweet people and just prior to that, I was walking around like i was sneaking a peek in someones home.
For as much as I have written, this doesn't begin to scratch the surface of details in this place. I will admit that someone the details are more personal details on what I was seeing and interpreting them and the overall action of what I was doing during that time. Example: I was riding one of my heavier motorcycles around the freeway which circles around the out skirts of the city (also leads into the city) when I went over the median very hard, (didn't fall) and broke something on the rear of the motorcycle. I remember thinking to myself, suck it up and call someone for help. Don't try and take care of this yourself this time. So I called my dad and explained what happened. I'm on the phone telling him what happened and I think he said something like he was waiting for me to call. I thought, what!? Apparently all I needed to do was just ask and I would be okay. The scene flashes forward and we just got to the house and we are looking over the bike. What I remember being as broken was now indeed fixed but I noticed that the broken piece looked way different then the new part that was on the bike. Either way, I was back in business to enjoy another ride.
There are other parts that are more on the personal side like when I went to the festival or parade that they were having. This part of the city reminded me of San Francisco except it wasn't. From there the rest of that was just enjoying and seeing the things that I was seeing.
What I've taken from this place:
Between being there from the beginning to now, a lot has changed big time. There seems to be 2 sides to this place. The side where I'm simply enjoying this place for what it is and the other side is more like leaving this place to go work on the spiritual side. I don't ever recall being in this place and feeling like I was on a mission or anything.
Something else I have come to notice is I don't really fly around in this place. I mean I can but I find myself using my vehicles to get around instead. If I come to a point where there is somewhere I really need to be in a hurry then I'll fly but for the most part, I don't. In the dreams where I feel like I'm on a mission or something, I am always flying.
So thinking back on all of this made me want to type it all out, share it with you simply to ask you, do you think this is MISIMS or my version of heaven?
